Q: Can we apply with a partner from Moldova who has had a partnership with your organization and for what amount can we apply?
A: Yes, you can apply with a partner who has had a partnership with the New Democracy Fund. Civil Society Actors can apply for funding with a co-partner for up to 53,000 EURO. We encourage Civil Society Actors with no or limited experience in international grants to apply for maximum 13.400 EURO.
Q: Can a Danish organisation be a partner in the project to bring specific competences?
A: Yes, but the lead applicant must be an organisation from Moldova. Please also note, that it is not a requirement to have a Danish partner.
Q: What is the implementation period for the approved project?
A: The period should be maximum one year from the start of the project implementation. All projects must be finalized by the end of 2026 at the latest.
Q: Is it possible to receive funding for ex. installment of solar panels in an educational institution or to plant forests in Moldova?
A: When you develop a project, please make sure that the purpose and outcomes for your projects meet the general eligibility criteria and priorities for the grant. Both solar panels and planting of forest can be components in projects that meet these criteria.
Q: What are the requirements for the Danish partner, if any?
A: The requirements for Danish co-applicants are the same as for Moldovan applicants.
Q: If we apply to this call, will we be eligible for other calls from NDF, i.e. if we can have 2 projects in different fields in implementation simultaneously?
A: Yes, it is possible to apply with several applications and projects. But please note that the Independent Selection Committee that decides the distribution of all grants strives to balance the
grants between all countries and thematic areas of the NDF.
Q: Can the costs for the audit be budgeted?
A: Yes, the audit costs should be included in the project budget.
Q: Do we need co-financing?
A: No, co-financing is not a requirement to apply for funding.
Q: Is it possible to buy equipment?
A: Yes, it is possible to buy equipment for the project, for instance materials for an art project etc. But please note that we do not provide core-funding for operational / administration equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
Q: If we apply with a project to this call, will we also be able to apply to the next call, the regular one?
A: Yes, organisations can apply with several projects and calls. But please note that the Independent Selection Committee that decides the distribution of all grants strives to balance the grants between all countries and thematic areas of the NDF.
Q: How many percent of the budget is eligible for staff costs?
A: There is no fixed percentage of the budget for staff costs or salaries. Salaries and additional staff costs are revied in relation to the overall project and activities.
